Heartfelt Gratitude: Reflecting on Motherhood, Love, and Life’s Lessons

Gratitude for my growing family.

As the year draws to a close, I take time to reflect on the moments that have shaped my life—big and small. Gratitude has been my anchor through the constant chaos, and this season feels like the perfect time to pause and appreciate life’s beauty.

Heartfelt Gratitude: Reflecting on Motherhood, Love, and Life’s Lessons

The Joy of New Beginnings

This year, I’m especially grateful for Luca joining our family. His arrival has brought immense joy, love, and laughter into our lives. He’s been an easygoing and happy baby—a true blessing. Adding a second child, especially one so close in age to Ella, has unlocked a whole new level of motherhood.

Navigating the Beautiful Chaos of Two Kids

Having two children has stretched me in ways I hadn’t anticipated. It’s a blend of joy, challenges, chaos, and beauty. I’ve learned to give myself grace daily, practice patience repeatedly, and prioritize self-care to be the mother they need. Don’t get me wrong—I am far from perfect every day. But it’s important to me that they don’t see a perfect mom; they see a mom who models the behaviors they should learn. Because we all know we’re better off after “Mama takes a minute.” It’s not easy, but every moment is worth it.

Cherishing Heartfelt Moments

Besides giving birth to Luca this year, another memory I’ll never forget was when Ella first met Luca. Her eyes lit up with sweet curiosity as she leaned in and gave him a kiss—it was pure magic. Each time she acknowledges him in her adorable toddler way, my heart overflows. Watching them begin to “play” together, with Ella “teaching” Luca in only a way a toddler can, is a gift. Together, they truly are my whole heart.

Pursuing Dreams Amidst the Chaos

This year has also been a whirlwind of growth. Starting a business while welcoming a new baby has been hectic, to say the least. However, Luca’s arrival cemented my dream of helping other moms. I now deeply appreciate the “I became a mom and needed to solve XYZ for moms” stories that many mom entrepreneurs share. Living my own version of that, I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Gaining Life’s Greatest Perspective

Reflecting on this season of motherhood, I’m struck by how it has shaped my perspective. I’ve experienced both ends of the caregiving spectrum—helping my parents in caring for ill, aging, and dying family members and now immersing myself in early motherhood. Both experiences have been life-changing, teaching me what truly matters.

Life is beautiful—whether you’re three hours or 103 years old. The tiny milestones, the major transitions, and everything in between are worth celebrating. While it’s challenging to slow down and embrace it, especially in today’s fast-paced world, it’s incredibly worthwhile.

Grateful for This Year

Here’s a quick list of what I’m most grateful for this year:

  • Luca joining our family.
  • Watching Ella and Luca bond and “play” together.
  • Starting a meaningful business that aligns with my dream to help other moms.
  • Finding moments of grace amidst the chaos of motherhood.

Embracing Gratitude Daily

This Thanksgiving and every day, I’m reminded to slow down, embrace the chaos, and cherish the moments that matter most. Here’s to this beautiful, messy, perfectly imperfect life.
